EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION IN AN ORGANIZATION:

 

Employee satisfaction is the terminology used to describe whether employees are happy, contended and fulfilling their desires and needs at work. Many measures support that employee satisfaction is a factor in employee motivation, employee goal achievement and positive employee morale in the work place. Basically Employee satisfaction is a measure of how happy workers are with their job and working environment. Various variables involve for employee satisfaction in an organization such as development factors, Job security factors, Work task factors, Policies of compensation and benefit factor. Opportunities which give satisfaction to employees such as Promotion and career development has also been considered.

It is a well-known fact that the success of any organization depends on the performance of the employees of the organization. Having high performing workforce is essential for growth and survival of the organization especially during difficult periods.

Innovations, productivity and better customer service can only be expected from a highly engaged and satisfied workforce.

There is a positive relationship between working environment and employee job satisfaction. The employers need to realize the importance of good working environment for maximizing the level of job satisfaction. Most employers ignore the working environment within their organizations resulting in an adverse effect on the performance of their employees.

3.    Good Relation with Co-workers

4.    Recognition for Good Performance

5.    Motivation for Performing Well

6.    Participation in the Decision Making Process.
